We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. This position is responsible for accurately processing vehicle title and registration paperwork, maintaining complete deal documentation, monitoring outstanding title work, and helping ensure transactions are processed accurately and promptly.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing a large volume of transactions, and understands the importance of accuracy, follow-up, and documentation within a dealership accounting office.

• Process title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicle transactions.
• Review deal jackets for completeness and accuracy before processing title work.
• Verify VINs, customer information, lienholder information, purchase documentation, trade information, and supporting paperwork.
• Prepare and submit applicable title and registration documentation.
• Process lien information and ensure lienholder information is accurately documented.
• Handle title documentation associated with trade-in vehicles.
• Track outstanding titles and follow up on missing or incomplete title documentation.
• Maintain an organized title pending / outstanding title schedule .
• Research title discrepancies and work with appropriate parties to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with the accounting office, sales department, finance department, lenders, customers, other dealerships, and appropriate government offices as necessary.
• Process title-related paperwork for wholesale and dealer transactions when applicable.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical title records.
• Ensure required documents are properly retained within the deal jacket.
• Assist with corrections or rejected title paperwork and promptly resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information.
• Support month-end accounting processes by ensuring title-related transactions and schedules are current.
• Follow dealership policies and applicable Arkansas title and registration procedures.
• Assist the Controller/Office Manager with additional accounting-office responsibilities as needed.

Preferred:

• Previous automotive dealership title-clerk experience.
• Experience working in a franchised new-car dealership or automotive accounting office.
• Knowledge of vehicle titles, registrations, liens, trade documentation, and dealership deal jackets.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS).
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office applications.
• Understanding of Arkansas vehicle title and registration processes.

A successful Title Clerk keeps title work accurate, organized, current, and moving .

You will take ownership of outstanding title issues, communicate problems early, maintain clean records, and work closely with the accounting and dealership teams to prevent paperwork from becoming aged or unresolved.
