Hygiene Coordinator

We are looking for a Hygiene Coordinator to join our team! We’re committed to providing modern, conservative care to all our patients, while making them feel like they’re right at home. Our team makes our patients feel confident in their smiles while creating lasting, meaningful relationships along the way.

Compensation: $20-$25/hour

Job responsibilities/duties:

• Confirm all appointments for hygiene and restorative work

• Perform general office duties, such as faxing, copying, filing, etc.

• Answers phone with a smile

• Greet patients by name when checking in

• Listen to messages and return all calls

• Update patient information

• Schedule Hygiene and Treatment appointments

• Complete patient perio follow up letters and schedule patients accordingly

• Call unscheduled hygiene patients and make appointments

• Walk out and present treatment plans with patients

• Collect payments over the counter, such as cash, check, credit card, and financing

• Discuss financial options with patients

• Assist and prepare end-of-day reports

• Print schedules and put up in clinical operatories

• Adhere to company policies concerning personal appearance, language and professionalism

• Attend staff meetings and events

• Comply with OSHA, WISHA, and HIPPA policies

• Help to maintain appearance of office and atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Social skills and a pleasant disposition are essential to this position

• Knowledge in office equipment operation

• Knowledge of Dental practice management software

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively both orally and in writing

• Ability to operate personal computers, multi-line telephone system, printer, copier and fax machine

• Special Requirements: This job may require long periods of standing, sitting, or leaning over. This job may also require lifting up to 30lbs. must be willing to work extra hours or weekends as requested by the Office Manager or Director of Operations and assist in other duties as assigned.
