Senior Administrative AssistantThe City of Elk Grove's Public Works Department is seeking a highly motivated, versatile, seasoned problem solver with proven organizational skills to join our team as a Senior Administrative Assistant to support the Operations Divisions. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, good time management skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. The individual should be familiar with typical office equipment and technology.This position will support our Operations & Maintenance, Landscape & Facilities, Capital Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, and Recycling & Waste Divisions. They will perform high level administrative duties including scheduling and management of high-volume calendars, reviewing and processing complex invoices, tracking budget expenditures, coordinating business travel and training, drafting memos and business correspondence, and coordinating work with other Divisions and Departments when necessary. They are also responsible for leading and supporting other administrative staff within the Department to help ensure that program goals, objectives, policies, and processes are implemented and carried out. This in-person position will be located at the City's Corporation Yard. Alternative 9/80 schedule is available.
