Project Accountant

Established and stable Construction firm experiencing growth seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Project Accountant to manage financial tracking, vendor documentation, and accounting for major construction developments. This position is vital to keeping projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining seamless coordination between project managers and subcontractors. Responsibilities Include: Process monthly subcontractor AIA progress billings accurately and efficiently. Generate weekly financial reports and perform detailed cost-versus-budget analyses for ongoing builds. Manage job setup, closeout procedures, budgeting updates, change orders, and cost logging. Oversee lien waiver collection and tracking to ensure compliance. Partner with Project Managers to draft and issue subcontracts and purchase orders. Maintain accurate project file structures and track submittal logs. Handle vendor administration, ensuring up-to-date tax forms (W-9s) and certificates of insurance (COIs). Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Industry Knowledge: 1 year of recent construction workflows preferred.
