Medical Assistant

Key Responsibilities Duties Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures Obtain and document vital signs medical history and reason for visit Assist providers with examinations treatments and minor procedures Administer injections and perform EKGs venipuncture and other lab procedures as needed Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record EMR system Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider Ensure exam rooms are clean stocked and properly set up Support quality improvement initiatives including patient recall preventive screenings and care gap closures Assist with scheduling referrals and prior authorizations as needed Follow infection control and safety procedures Job Requirements Must have a CMA or RMA current certification 3 years of experience in primary care Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment Strong communication and critical thinking skills Previous EMREHR experience with NextGen is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols Bilingual in EnglishSpanish preferred but not required Hours Monday Thursday 715 am 400 pm Friday 715 am 245 pm must be flexible and available for Saturday clinic at least once a month from 8am 12pm #J-18808-Ljbffr Texas Health Care PLCC
