Aircraft Component Repair Technician 3 (Second Shift)

Position Summary Aircraft Component Repair Technician 3 (Second Shift) – responsible for repairing and overhauling internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies and components according to Gulfstream Repair Station requirements. The role requires experience overhauling landing gear and proficiency with precision measuring tools and aircraft maintenance manuals. Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including removal, repair, replacement of defective parts or fabrication of new parts, following blueprints, maintenance manuals and engineering dispositions. Operate test equipment to conduct functional and operational tests on aircraft components ensuring conformity with Repair Station standards. Inspect detail parts using blueprints, component and overhaul manuals to verify compliance. Remove skins and related components on flight controls and secondary structure, and reinstall parts. Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, multimeters, wattmeters, spectrum analyzers and borescopes. Maintain and calibrate precision tools and record required documentation per FAA Repair Station regulations. Support work order processes and maintain accurate paperwork. Keep work area clean and orderly while complying with environmental, health and safety regulations. Assist in the fabrication and repair of sheet‑metal, composite, hydraulic and electrical components, including honeycomb core sandwich, hydraulic press, and testing procedures. Perform APU removal, installation and maintenance on all Gulfstream models. Repair electronic assemblies and harnesses using soldering, splicing and pinning techniques. Provide training and instruction to Acft Compo Repair I and II technicians. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. A&P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred. At least 4 years of experience in sheet metal, hydraulic overhaul, avionics/electronic component repair, or related fields; accredited schooling in electronics and electrical systems may offset experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents and precision measuring tools. Proficiency with all tools and equipment in the department and basic shop math. Knowledge of Repair Station requirements and FAA regulations. Strong communication skills in English. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $31.06–$36.24, determined by qualifications and experience. Full‑time position (Second Shift). Up to 25% travel may be required.
