Tactical Buyer II

Tactical Buyer II Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Tactical Buyer II with our client in Kent, WA. Execute tactical procurement activities for government contract programs, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and other applicable regulations. Manage purchase order lifecycle from requisition through receipt, including expediting, resolving discrepancies, and supplier performance management. Leverage manufacturing background to effectively communicate technical requirements with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers while maintaining cost, quality, and schedule targets. Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and program management teams to support production schedules. Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate procurement records and support audit requirements for government contracts. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while developing contingency plans. Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, Master's degree with 1+ years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related degree. Interprets and applies company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, SOX Compliance. Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department. Ability to write price reasonableness determinations / price analyses of all types per FAR requirements. Experience supporting negotiations of all types, including, but not limited to, pricing, terms and conditions, FAR / customer contract flowdowns, and schedule. Working understanding of AS9100 standards. Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications, drawings, & statements of work. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
