Onsite Role (4 days a week) Responsibilities:
- Seeking an experienced API Test Engineer to design, execute, and automate testing for REST based APIs supporting mission critical, bi directional system integrations.
- This role focuses on service level testing and plays a key part in ensuring API reliability, security, and readiness for production.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, hands on experience with API testing tools, and the ability to translate technical requirements into robust test scenarios across functional, negative, and integration cases.
- Positive scenarios (valid inputs)
- Negative scenarios (invalid/missing data)
- Boundary conditions
- Error handling and edge cases
- methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
- Status codes (200, 201, 400, 401, 403, 404, 500, 429)
- Request/response headers
- JSON request and response bodies
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of system testing, writing and executing test cases
- Application testing experience related to REST API
- Software/Tools: Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, Ping API, vREST
