Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist | Hilo, Hawaii, United States
Start date: 08/17/2026 | Duration: 15 weeks | Travel - Temporary Assignment
Weekly pay: $1,892 to $1,947 per week | Shift: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts (36 hours)
Work setting: inpatient care environment
This is a travel assignment for a Respiratory Therapist with a focus on registered practice. Candidates must have Hawaii licensure prior to start and comply with vaccination and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation support; adjust settings per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians and the broader care team; perform CPR and all aspects of respiratory care
- Operate unit equipment and systems: ventilators (including V60), Para Pac Transport Vent, PB 980, PB 840; electronic charting; Pyxis medication management
- Document patient care and outcomes; monitor patient status and respond to changes promptly
- Maintain professional standards and adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies

Requirements
- Hawaii State Respiratory Therapy License active and in good standing by start date
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care
- Ability to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- Availability for night shift; must be able to arrive the Thursday prior to start for onboarding and employee health clearance
- RRT preferred; NRP preferred
