This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still providing the crucial support clients need. As part of our outpatient facility, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists. We foster a therapeutic and safe environment conducive to healing, with flexible scheduling options that include evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to understand each client's substance abuse history and mental health status.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

  • Collaborate closely with other treatment team members, sharing insights and strategies to ensure a coordinated and effective treatment process.

  • Educate and engage family members in the recovery process, providing resources and support to create a strong family system around the client.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals facing challenges with substance use disorders, which may include alcohol, opioids, or other drugs. Many of our clients also struggle with underlying mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. Our ideal candidate should be passionate about advocating for these individuals, leveraging both compassion and clinical expertise to guide them toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

  • A valid license as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD is required.

  • A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is necessary for this role.

  • Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling will be highly regarded.

  • Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

  • Strong therapeutic skills along with the ability to motivate and empower clients toward active participation in their recovery journey.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with additional certifications in substance abuse counseling or experience using specific therapeutic modalities preferred by the organization will be seen as an asset. Furthermore, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for the accurate documentation of therapy notes and treatment plans is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
