Answer phone calls, take and deliver messages verbally or by phone. Maintain close communication with the Charge Nurse/House Supervisor. Handle all necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Order supplies as needed from Materials Management. Verify physician privileges before transcribing orders. Appropriately transcribe and flag orders from charts. Arrange transport of patients for tests not offered in the hospital. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with medical files and terminology.
