Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Laser Operators for our Bloomingdale client.

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00pm - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, OT as needed

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Job Summary: Perform laser cutting for a variety of materials and other company requirements

Job Details:

• Perform typical laser cutting operations
• Select proper cutting program, and proper fixtures
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean condition and follows prescribes safety procedures
• Perform quality inspections / checks per quality documentation / control plan (including documentation of results)
• Identify different types of material – Aluminum, series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Gap, Galvanneal, and Galvanized
• Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for safety and quality standards and procedures
• Meet the standards of the site attendance policy
• Assist in other work areas as assigned
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
• Handle fast-paced work
• Demonstrate dependability with good attendance
• Ability to work in a loud work environment
• Must have the ability to lift and / or move up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able read, write and speak English
