IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support / IT Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for end users, enterprise IT systems, and workplace technology environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in desktop support, endpoint management, Audio Visual (AV) technologies, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based solutions. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting conference room technologies, managing user access, and ensuring seamless day-to-day IT operations. Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Windows-based workstations and endpoint devices. Support Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications and services. Configure, troubleshoot, and support Audio Visual (AV) and conference room technologies. Provide support for video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, and Zoom. Displays and Digital Signage Projectors Speakers Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Support cloud-based applications and services across Azure, Microsoft 365, and related platforms. Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and technical issues using ITSM/ticketing systems. Perform software installations, upgrades, and patch management activities. , DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity. Document technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures. Provide excellent customer service and technical assistance to end users at all organizational levels. Support executive users and critical business meetings as needed. Participate in IT infrastructure improvements and technology rollout projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3–5+ years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, Help Desk, End User Computing, or a related technical support role. Strong hands-on experience supporting: Windows 10 Windows 11 Microsoft Office Microsoft 365 Desktop Computers Laptops Printers Peripheral Devices Experience supporting Audio Visual (AV) and conference room technologies. Hands-on experience with: Microsoft Teams Microsoft Teams Rooms Zoom Presentation Technologies Working knowledge of cloud technologies, including: AWS (Preferred Exposure) Experience managing users, groups, and permissions within Active Directory and Entra ID. Strong understanding of: TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN Wi-Fi Networking Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ticketing platforms. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests efficiently. Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager. Experience with SCCM/MECM administration and device management. Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders and VIP users. Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
