Dishwasher

Description We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and organized Dishwasher to support the daily operations of a high-volume, high-end steakhouse located in Midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate works with urgency, maintains exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards, and takes pride in keeping the kitchen organized and operating efficiently. Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain adequate supplies of clean plates, cookware, utensils, and equipment during high-volume service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station throughout the shift. Ensure clean cookware, equipment, and service items are returned promptly to the appropriate areas. Sweep, mop, scrub, and clean BOH areas according to established cleaning schedules. Remove garbage, recycling, cardboard, and food waste throughout the shift and dispose of materials properly. Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and sanitation products. Follow NYC Department of Health requirements and restaurant sanitation and food-safety procedures. Assist with maintaining organization and cleanliness of walk-ins, dry storage, and other BOH areas.
