Vehicle Software Engineer - Rust Controls

Responsibilities

• Design abstractions for hardware control behavior in a distributed system.
• Create user-facing guardrails for the autonomy ecosystem.
• Develop ground and vehicle automation.
• Build software tests.
• Support hardware testing.
• Own and dogfood automation building blocks that command physical systems for checkouts, hotfires, and flight objectives.

Requirements

• Experience with Rust and Python.
• Strong systems-thinking ability for complex distributed software-hardware interactions.
• Strong mathematics background.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in software development, controls, or systems engineering.
• Ability to prioritize, self-direct, and ask for help.
• U.S. work authorization or eligibility to obtain authorizations required for access to ITAR-controlled technology.
• Preferred: experience with control theory and laws.
• Preferred: software language or compiler background.
