Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, preferably in early elementary (Kindergarten-2nd) grades
• Background in self-contained classroom settings is highly valued
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for K-2nd grade students in a self-contained program focused on autism
• Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom atmosphere
• Implement behavioral and academic interventions as needed
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, therapists, aides, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, communicating milestones and needs with parents and team members
