Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Travel experience required Charting system experience required Description: The Registered Nurse in this position will work in the Labor and Delivery specialty. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Charting will be done using the Epic system. The nursing staff will play a crucial role in patient care for both mothers and neonates. Skills needed include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, and management of epidural anesthesia. Nurses will assist with high-risk deliveries and perform sterile vaginal exams. The environment may include multiple births and support for breastfeeding and lactation. The ability to manage various medications, including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips, is essential. Candidates should have experience with postpartum hemorrhage management and fetal heart rate monitoring. The position includes a commitment to safety protocols and patient education. Flexibility to cover weekend shifts is required.
