Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Bronx, NY
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Full-Time | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify patient nutritional needs.

• Interview patients and families to obtain dietary histories, food preferences, and nutrition-related information.

• Review laboratory results, clinical data, and medical records to develop individualized nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling regarding prescribed diets and food/drug interactions.

• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education within the medical record.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and modify nutrition care plans.

• Recommend appropriate diet modifications and therapeutic nutrition interventions.

• Monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions.

• Support quality patient care through evidence-based nutrition practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a specialization in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.

• Active Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian.

• Minimum two (2) years of professional clinical experience required.

• Recent inpatient acute-care hospital experience required.

• Strong clinical nutrition assessment and patient counseling skills.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field.

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential.

• Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential.

• Three (3) or more years of clinical dietitian experience.
