Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant Salary Range: $44-$49 per hour Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation Facility: 126-bed healthcare facility Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at our 126-bed healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve their maximum level of independence and function. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to provide high-quality care and treatment to our patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients
• Conduct therapy sessions with patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and exercises to improve function and independence
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
• Stay updated on current trends and advancements in occupational therapy

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and assisting patients
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
