Location Elgin, IL. Shift PM Shift: Monday - Friday (Saturdays dependent on business needs). Pay $39.60 per hour. Benefits Medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) with match Company discounts Paid vacation and other benefits Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers. Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment. Oversee Fleet Technicians and provide direction as assigned by Lead Technician. Help schedule and support all work within the shop. Coordinate training initiatives. Manage costs according to budget and daily completion of repairs. Ensure DOT compliance. Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks. Receive and process invoices for payment. Maintain parts inventory and budget; exercise parts and inventory control. Maintain shop housekeeping standards and prepare end‑of‑month reporting and other administrative requirements. Ensure safe work practices. Qualifications Positive team‑player attitude. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Completed 2 years of technical education or possess 3 years of hands‑on experience. Diagnostic experience and ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Perform additional facilities repairs. Physical capability to bend, stretch, twist, and lift up to 60 pounds. Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) experience preferred. Experience in diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, drivetrain assemblies, suspension chassis, and electrical troubleshooting and repair. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to obtain CDL Class B within a specified period. ASE certification required within a specified period. Must possess personal tools. Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level.
