The Role

JOB STATEMENT: Responsible for weighing inbound and outbound grape and bulk wine trucks.
Essential Duties:- Weigh in and out all bulk wine and grape trucks
- Prepare, print and distribute Bill of Ladings
- Prepare, print and distribute Cellar Tags
- Prepare, print and distribute pomace tags
- Prepare, print, reconcile and distribute all appropriate reports
- Enter Commodity orders into scale software
- Communicate effectively with company personnel to aid in the completion of required tasks as well as all issues/ concerns
- Communicate with various dispatchers to find out truck ETA’s
- Providing information to management by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
- Follow guidelines and procedures in order to ensure ISO certification
- Assist with any general administrative tasks, projects and/ or additional duties assigned by a supervisor/ manager
- Maintain scale house housekeeping
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- Wine, transportation and/ or logistics knowledge a plus
- General office procedures to include at least 6 months of experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent math skills and strong analytic and decision-making skills
- Proficient and accurate with 10-key
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- High level of attention to detail and committed to avoiding errors
- Proactive, takes initiative, uses available resources to problem solve
- Availability to work independently as well as with a team
- Maintain accurate and thorough records
- Ability to work an agreed upon full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as well as cover additional shifts when needed
- Required to work 6 days a week with the possibility of 7 days during the Crush Season (July-October)
- Works well under pressure/ excellent time management skills
- Ability to help with various projects
- Follows guidelines and procedures
Knowledge of:
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Verbal and written communication skills
- 10 key operation
- Computers and Microsoft Office
Ability to:
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Manage one’s own time, prioritize responsibilities, keen sense of urgency when necessary
- Proactively communicate regarding prioritization of workload, ask questions when assignments aren’t clear or missing information and/ or when unable to meet requested deadline(s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift up to 15 lbs.
- Frequent forward reach
- Frequent sitting

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
- Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
