Thermal Field Service Technician

Job TitleThe Thermal Field Service Technician is responsible for the startup, commissioning, and scheduled or emergency service on data center cooling systems.The Field Service Technician is primarily responsible to support products and services within our Thermal product family. This is an entry level position that will support more experienced technician on repairs and preventative maintenance duties. Preventative maintenance duties will include taking unit readings and taking measurements of temperature, voltages, pressures and controller diagnostics. The Field Service Technician will execute preventative maintenance, such as coil cleaning, filter changes, fluid samples and fluid remediation. The employee must past the EPA the EPA608 license within 6 months of their hire date. The Field Service Technician is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.QualificationsExperience working with Mechanical and Electrical systems.Experience working with hand tools and power toolsFamiliarity with electrical / electronic test equipment and fundamentalsTechnical aptitude and problem-solving skillsComputer skills and understanding computer logicHVAC basic understanding preferred, but not requiredElementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervisionUnderstanding of PsychrometricsStrong mathematical capabilitiesAbility to work on ladders or work comfortably at heights and on roofsHave an EPA608 license or take the EPA 608 license exam and pass the test within 6 months of being hired.Physical & Environmental DemandsWhile performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
