VITA Site Coordinator

Description CVOEO is hiring a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Site Coordinator in Addison County that oversees the daily operations of a VITA site, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate-income individuals, older adults, persons with disabilities, and individuals with limited English proficiency. Train, support, and supervise volunteers; ensure compliance with IRS VITA/TCE program requirements; and promote a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment for clients and volunteers. Support and communicate with volunteers to maintain effective site operations throughout the tax season. Job Type Part-time, Temporary Requirements Associate’s degree in an appropriate discipline plus two years of community service experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Accounting and/or income tax preparation experience highly desirable. Sound understanding, interest in and commitment to those living in poverty and the overall needs and problems of the low-income community. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client information.
