PET/CT Technologist

COMPETITIVE PAY & BENEFITS | SIGN ON BONUS SCOPE Under general supervision, the role is responsible for the coordination and administration of all CT/Sims and diagnostic radiologic exams; ensures technical quality and timely transfer of data; and fabricates any necessary immobilization devices prior to scan as needed. Functions Administer Radioactive Tracer (F18 FDG) as well as I.V. contrast. Perform and maintain quality control procedures for PET imaging. Perform functional imaging (PET) scans for diagnostic purpose. Perform diagnostic CT scans for routine radiologic exams. Perform CT scans for radiation treatment planning purposes. Fabricate immobilization and other treatment devices. Perform chest x‑rays. Rotational Call. Qualifications Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology. Registered by ARRT and NMTCB with current license by the state of Louisiana. 2 years experience as nuclear medicine technologist. 2 years experience as radiological technologist. CT experience preferred. Phlebotomy training preferred. For more than 50 years, the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has provided the highest quality care to our patients.
