Additional Information About the Role Location: Barnes-Jewish Hospital Schedule: 16 hours per week, with shifts rotating between day and evening options (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM, or 7:00 PM – 11:30 PM). Schedule will be a combination of these shifts totaling 32 hours per pay period. Nursing Divisions 9100/9200 are 25 bed high risk cardiology units where you will find many exciting challenges and opportunities for learning. Many of the patients that you will care for require advanced medication infusions and post cardiac procedure care. Our team consists of registered nurses, patient/student nurse technicians, and house staff of residents, interns and other medical professionals. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. Responsibilities Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support. Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail. Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
