HR Assistant

Human Resources partners with the University of Idaho community to provide front‑office support, customer service, and general operational assistance to the Human Resources department. Position Overview The HR Assistant will be responsible for providing front office support and customer service to the university community while supporting the general operations of the Human Resources department. Responsibilities Distributing mail Maintaining files Assisting with supply inventory and reordering as necessary Optimizing client satisfaction through teamwork, attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to customer service Other duties as assigned Required Experience One year of reception/clerical experience in an office setting, including providing administrative support, reception/customer service, filing, word processing, and answering a business telephone using professional etiquette Experience using a computer to enter and retrieve information Required Education High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Experience working with employment eligibility verification, including the form I-9 and the E‑Verify system Experience with Banner Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals Demonstrated experience handling confidential information Experience working in a higher education setting Employment Details FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employee Category: Classified Pay Range: $17.58 per hour or higher depending on education and experience Type of Appointment: Fiscal Year FTE: 1 Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Visa Sponsorship: No Posting Date: 07/09/2026 Open Until Filled: Yes Equal Employment Opportunity Statement The University of Idaho is an equal employment opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
