About the Property Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida is one of the most exciting collegiate properties in the Pyramid Hotel Group Family. With contemporary flair, 173 guest rooms, 1,200 square feet of meeting space and a signature 3‑meal restaurant and bar, it is a prime location for hospitality professionals in the Gainesville area. Position Overview We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Restaurant Server to join our team part‑time. This role is responsible for ensuring guests have an exceptional experience, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and working efficiently in a fast paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare the restaurant pre‑shift for service ahead. Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant. Guide guests through their culinary journey via descriptive menu selling. Accurately take orders, confirming all special requests. Demonstrate mastery of the menu, providing detailed conversation points. Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff. Assist guests with concerns, guiding them to satisfactory resolutions. Finalize the experience with timely and accurate bill presentation. Qualifications Engaging and welcoming personality. Descriptive and able to sell menu items. 2‑4 years of food service experience. Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Passion for creating exceptional experiences for all guests. Excellent communication skills. Compensation $10.98 per hour to $10.98 per hour.
