Job Title RN Medicine Specialty - Medical Surgical Location Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Schedule / Job Type Contract, Onsite Key Responsibilities Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments and noting changes in physician orders. Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient status, and intervenes as necessary. Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Communicates care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge; informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships. Preferred Experience / Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively. Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
