This role supports pharmacists and clinical teams by ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication delivery within a hospital setting.Key ResponsibilitiesFill and dispense unit dose, oral, and IV medications accuratelyProcess and triage medication orders efficientlyMaintain and manage Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS/ADM)Support pharmacy operations across nursing units and departmentsEnsure accuracy and compliance with medication safety standardsAssist in maintaining inventory, stock medications, and suppliesUtilize electronic health records (EHR) for medication managementSupport pharmacists with clinical and operational tasksApply advanced knowledge in specialty pharmacy areasEnsure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standardsMust-Have RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDOregon Pharmacy Technician License or Certification (required upon hire)Minimum: 2+ years pharmacy experience (with PTCB certification) OR 3+ years hospital pharmacy experience (without PTCB)Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADM/ADS)Experience working with EHR systemsRequired SkillsStrong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication dispensingExperience with acute care / hospital pharmacy environmentsUnderstanding of unit dose and IV medication preparationAttention to detail and medication safety focusStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsGraduate of a Pharmacy Technician ProgramPTCB Certification (preferred)Advanced PTCB certifications: Sterile compoundingMedication historyControlled substancesSpecialty certifications (e.g., ACPE sterile compounding)Core CompetenciesAccuracy and attention to detailPatient safety and complianceTeam collaborationTime management and efficiencyTechnical and operational expertiseEducationHigh School Diploma (Required)Pharmacy Technician Program (Preferred)Additional NotesRole is part-time, day shift in a hospital settingRequires hands-on experience with ADMs and EHR systemsFocus on acute care pharmacy operationsNo travel required
