Base pay range $350,000.00/yr - $2,500,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Platinum Legal Search Group, LLC A leading AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking a highly skilled Tax Partner to join its nationally recognized Tax practice. This role is ideal for an experienced tax attorney with deep expertise in structuring tax-driven real estate transactions, including statutory trusts and §1031 like-kind exchanges. Key Responsibilities Advise developers, sponsors, investors, and institutions on federal income tax aspects of complex real estate transactions. Structure and execute tax-efficient deals, including §1031 exchanges, Delaware statutory trusts (DSTs), and other pass-through entity structures. Provide guidance on partnership tax issues, including allocations, basis adjustments, and exit planning strategies. Collaborate with Real Estate, Corporate, and Finance teams to deliver fully integrated advice. Lead client negotiations and manage sophisticated matters from inception to closing. Mentor and develop junior tax associates. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar. 8+ years of experience focused on federal income tax and real estate transaction planning. Significant experience with §1031 exchanges, DSTs, TICs, and other tax-driven structures. Portable book of business preferred, but not required. Strong communication, drafting, and client development skills.
