All About Food & Beverage: The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They lead food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store. The role of a Food & Beverage Expert can provide you with the skills and experiences below. Responsibilities Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and full shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task. Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards. Execute Food & Beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and organizing and storing reserve product. Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures. Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales. Work with vendors to set, maintain and adjust salesfloor merchandise displays and keep organized backroom space. Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to Target’s policies and procedures. Be knowledgeable about store tools, products and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws (including adult beverage laws as applicable). Operate and care for in-store equipment; follow equipment control guidelines. Maintain a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards. Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) while ensuring compliance with laws. Greet guests and assist with daily tasks, solving guest needs proactively. Thank guests for shopping at Target and foster a welcoming environment. All other duties based on business needs. What we are looking for You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members. You thrive in a fast-moving, active environment where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key. You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays). Skills & Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only). Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required. Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members. Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong guest question resolution and attention to detail; able to follow multi-step processes. Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within timeframes. Additional basics Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Climb ladders; scan, move and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds. Flexible schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance expected. Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to -10°F as needed. Ability to work in environments with possible allergens and varying temperatures, humidity and other elements (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.). Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift; shift length may vary.
