Data Engineer

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, United States (3 days per week) Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 USD + Bonus Overview Forsyth Barnes is partnering with a leading global retail organization seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing Data Engineering team. Reporting directly to the Director of Data Engineering, this role will play a key part in designing, building, and optimizing modern cloud data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and business‑critical decision making. This is a highly hands‑on position for someone who enjoys owning data pipelines, contributing to architecture decisions, and working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Key Requirements Advanced experience with Snowflake development and administration. Strong SQL expertise, including query optimization and complex data transformations. Hands‑on experience with dbt for building and maintaining transformation pipelines. Strong Python development skills for data engineering and automation. Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. Experience contributing to data architecture, data modelling, and warehouse design. Exposure to production support, platform optimization, and ongoing enhancement of existing data solutions. Strong understanding of modern cloud‑based data platforms. Preferred Experience Experience with Azure, AWS, or Databricks. Knowledge of Coalesce or similar transformation tooling. Experience with dimensional modelling and modern data warehousing practices. Retail, eCommerce, or consumer industry experience. Exposure to CI/CD, data governance, and data quality frameworks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
