TITLE

IT Senior Data Engineer

HOURS

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design frameworks and applications for large‑scale data processing evaluating emerging technologies and approaches that will power data‑driven capabilities across the Enterprise. Develop data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform leveraging Google Data Flow, Data Proc, REST APIs, microservices to ingest data from external partners, define workflows and schedule jobs. Collaborate with cross‑functional technologists and business partners across the organization to gather requirements, solve new problems and deliver quality results. Develop and execute test plans to validate the implementation and performance of data ingestion and processing programs and recommend performance improvements. Mentor other team members on best practices. Support the operations of the deployed solutions, investigate complex issues and assist with the resolution and implementation of preventive measures. Assist with evaluation of Proof of Concept (POC), project estimation and engage in performance testing and tuning activities for large data sets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline. Five (5) years of development or related experience. Five (5) years of development experience in Big data platforms such as Hadoop, Databricks on AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud. Experience with Big Data ecosystems underlying architectures to re‑platform legacy systems and build integration solutions on Google Cloud platform. Experience in design and development of data pipelines leveraging batch and real‑time data ingestion frameworks and Spark streaming. Expertise in Java, Python or any scripting language, SQL/NoSQL Database systems. Experience in Big Data tools and technologies such as Big Query, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or Kafka Streams. Experience in test automations ensuring data quality, continuous integrations build and deployment processes using Docker, GitHub, Jenkins and Unix/Linux shell scripts. Experience developing complex services/solutions based on Enterprise Integration Patterns and coding best practices.

SALARY

$153,317 – $154,317 per year

The pay range for this position is $153,317.00 – $154,317.00 per year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part‑time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
