Maintenance I

Job Title

Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation and Maintenance, perform grounds, custodial, maintenance and repair duties; perform other related duties as assigned. Cleans interior and exterior surfaces. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and construction work. Perform minor maintenance tasks to keep area safe and operating. Participate in thorough cleaning and restoration of school plant during summer vacation and other time periods. Assist with planting trees, grass, shrubs and hand spray control of diseases and insects, water trees, lawns and shrub; prune trees and shrubs, control weeds; rake leaves and lawns. Operate lawn mowers, edger's sweepers, weed trimmers and table saw and other maintenance equipment and tools as needed. Load and unload trucks and transport materials.

DOJ/FBI (fingerprints) clearance, a pre-employment physical and drug test and a required TB clearance. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt. 2 years Maintenance experience preferred. Equivalent to completion of high school. Possession of a valid California Operator License.
