Geriatric Psychiatry Opening - Lake Charles, LouisianaLocation: Lake Charles, LAType: Full-Time, PermanentSpecialty: Geriatric PsychiatrySetting: Inpatient and OutpatientSeeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Geriatric Psychiatrist to join a high-performing behavioral health program in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This opportunity offers a balanced clinical practice across inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient settings with strong referral support and system resources.Position Highlights;Practice includes inpatient and outpatient geriatric psychiatry care31-bed behavioral health unit (currently 21 staffed beds)Rounding responsibilities across five nursing homesOutpatient volume of approximately 7-10 patients per half-day sessionIntensive Outpatient Program (IOP) participation up to 20 hours per weekMonday-Friday scheduleRotating weekday and weekend call coverageStrong referral base from 50+ employed primary care providers and aligned community physiciansEstablished, stable behavioral health programEPIC electronic medical record systemQualifications:Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatric PsychiatryEligible for Louisiana medical licensureCommitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centered behavioral healthcareStrong collaboration and communication skillsCompensation & Benefits:Earning potential up to the 90th percentile of MGMAWork RVU production incentivesCompetitive PTO plan with 8 paid holidays plus CME daysComprehensive medical and retirement benefitsEducational loan assistance (if applicable)Student loan forgiveness for physicians coming out of trainingPaid professional liability insuranceRelocation assistanceSign-on bonus
