Job description


HireArt is partnering with an autonomous mobility technology company to find a Validation Specialist to support a data collection project. The primary objective is to maintain the integrity of the data collection process by manually operating a vehicle, following precise routes, ensuring system uptime, and performing basic hardware maintenance in the field under the guidance of the on-shift Validation Lead.

What You'll Do:


Data Acquisition: Safely operate an EV for up to 8 hours per day, strictly adhering to predetermined routes and structured collection protocols.


Inspection Compliance: Complete comprehensive pre- and post-trip inspections of specialized onboard hardware (Cameras, LiDAR, secondary sensors) and submit completed logs before deployment and after returning to base.


First-Line Technical Maintenance: Perform basic physical maintenance (power-cycling systems, reseating data connectors, cleaning and clearing sensors) and collaborate with the Validation Shift Lead when advanced troubleshooting is required.


Operational Compliance: Ensure data is logged correctly and uploaded according to project requirements and established shift protocols.


Issue Reporting: Promptly document and report any system anomalies, hardware errors, or unique environmental observations directly to the on-shift Validation Shift Lead.

Procedural Adherence: Sustained focus during repetitive operational duties, ensuring total adherence to detailed guidelines. Technical Aptitude: Hands-on comfort managing integrated hardware/software components and executing physical troubleshooting. Google Workspace Expertise: Demonstrated capability in maintaining structured electronic documentation. Communication Skills: Excellent written aptitude for operational logs, with clear escalation of technical concerns to team leads and engineers. Physical & Schedule Flexibility: Ability to lift 50 pounds along with willingness to work rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Background supporting mobile data capture, GIS mapping, or vehicle operations. Prior experience serving as an IT Support Specialist, Field Technician, or equivalent role. Familiarity driving and operating Electric Vehicles (EVs). Working knowledge of basic Linux terminal commands
