Category Support Specialist - Liquor

Duties Overview:
- Own end-to-end item setup and maintenance, ensuring accuracy of descriptions, UPCs, pack sizes, costing, pricing, and attributes
- Take accountability for timely and error-free product data by partnering closely with vendors and Category Managers
- Proactively monitor system compliance and resolve data discrepancies with urgency and precision
- Own promotional and pricing setup, ensuring all items, ad features, and price changes are executed accurately and on schedule
- Validate promotional pricing and calendars to guarantee alignment with advertised plans and timelines
- Drive alignment across store and marketing teams to ensure flawless execution of merchandising strategies
- Act as the primary owner of vendor relationships for item data and promotions, ensuring clear communication and compliance
- Manage vendor submissions and follow-ups, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain ownership of reporting and dashboards, delivering timely, accurate insights on item status and promotional performance
- Regularly audit and validate data, taking initiative to reduce discrepancies and improve overall data integrity
- Own purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while resolving issues independently
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead or contribute to improvements that streamline workflows and strengthen compliance

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in retail support, merchandising, or category management, preferably in the grocery industry.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, store-level execution, product and pricing systems, category management, and merchandising preferred.
