Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in Radiology and Cardiology is responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures including PET/CT scans, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. This role involves working across multiple acute care hospital locations, providing diagnostic imaging services, and collaborating with clinical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment. The technologist must be skilled in nuclear medicine technology, adhere to safety protocols, and be flexible to float between sites as needed. Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET/CT scans, in accordance with established protocols.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to optimize imaging quality and diagnostic outcomes.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging data using Epic charting system.
• Float between multiple hospital locations including Mission Viejo and Mission Laguna Beach as required.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Current BLS certification.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology through ARRT (N) or NMTCB/CA License.
• Minimum of 1 year of nuclear medicine or PET experience preferred; first-time technologists accepted.
• Ability to travel and float between hospital locations within a 50-mile radius.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and patient care.

• Advanced certification in CT imaging.
• Experience working in an acute care hospital environment.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records system.

• Must be open to working 3 out of 5 major holidays.
• On-call shifts are not required but may be assigned upon request.
• Floating between hospital sites including Providence Mission Laguna Beach is required.
• Facility provides free parking.
• Radius for travel is 50 miles from primary location.

• Shift schedules and block scheduling are determined at manager's discretion.
• Guaranteed hours with facility able to call off once per two-week pay period.
• Shift types may vary based on hospital needs and floating requirements.
