Fertilizer Spray TechnicianThe Fertilizer Spray Technician provides fertilizer and spraying services for Sunrise Landscape's commercial clients across private and public properties. This role follows specific application guidelines in accordance with product labels, environmental requirements, county and state restrictions, community and client requirements, and company policies.The Fertilizer Spray Technician is responsible for the daily transport and application of granular fertilizer and chemical products while maintaining quality standards, client satisfaction, and safe work practices. A successful Fertilizer Spray Technician brings spray application experience, equipment knowledge, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in Florida's outdoor conditions.The position will be located in Ocala, FL.Key ResponsibilitiesAs one of our Fertilizer Spray Technicians, you will have the following areas of responsibility:Fertilizer & Chemical ApplicationsPerform fertilizer and chemical applications, including spreading fertilizer, mixing chemicals, and applying treatmentsMaintain client properties by diagnosing and treating insects, diseases, and weedsFollow all application guidelines in accordance with product labels, environmental requirements, and company policiesEnsure all tasks are completed according to company quality standards and client expectationsDaily Route Preparation & Field ExecutionPrepare for assigned daily routes by loading tools, chemicals, and equipmentTransport granular fertilizer products and supplies to and from client locationsPerform assigned service duties efficiently and safelyPrepare and clean job sites following product applicationsEquipment & Vehicle ManagementSafely operate fertilization and spray equipment, including hose and reel systems and zero-turn spray machinesPerform light maintenance on spray equipment and conduct regular equipment inspectionsDrive company vehicles, including truck and trailer, to and from assigned client locationsMaintain truck, trailer, tools, and equipment in clean and operational conditionSafety, Teamwork & Client ServiceAlways adhere to all safety protocols and regulationsEnsure personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn properly, including helmets, fall protection, ear plugs, safety glasses, and glovesCommunicate effectively with team membersDeliver excellent customer service and represent Sunrise Landscape professionally on client propertiesQualifications & Core CompetenciesMinimum of 1 to 2 years of professional spray or fertilization experience requiredPrevious operation of a hose and reel and zero-turn spray machine requiredGI-BMP certification preferred but not requiredAbility to read application rates on product labels and perform basic math to calibrate fertilizer spreadersMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United StatesDependable and able to work well as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hoursPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and squat for prolonged periods throughout the dayAbility to use hand tools for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 30+ pounds multiple times per day in hot temperaturesAbility to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, high humidity, and rainDriver QualificationsTo qualify as a Driver, in addition to the above, you must:Possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States for a minimum of three yearsMaintain a clean driving record for at least three yearsSuccessfully pass a drug screening
