Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and manage direct patient care through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate effectively with care providers to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and staff morale through teamwork.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications

• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.
• ICU experience and appropriate skills for Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
