Field Service Engineer

Salary: $60,200 - 127,300 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in engineering.
• We need at least 2 years of experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer.
• You must be able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, including manufacturer schematics and manuals.
• You should be able to independently install, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical control systems.
• You need strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with control panels and field components.
• You must be proficient with PLC software and hardware, including Allen Bradley, PowerFlex drives, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and RSLogix 500.
• You need excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You should be able to build strong working relationships with engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• You need prior knowledge of electrical panels, motors, drives, networks, and PLCs.
• You must have a methodical troubleshooting style and strong analytical ability.
• You need to be willing to travel extensively, including working weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
• You must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and climb ladders.
• You should be able to prioritize work, coordinate resources, and manage site visits end to end with minimal supervision.
• You need a customer-focused mindset and approach.
• Preferred: experience using barcode scanners and cameras.
• Preferred: prior lead or supervisory experience.
• Preferred: experience in an industrial environment, such as a manufacturing plant, integrator, or equipment OEM.
• Preferred: knowledge of industrial conveyor systems.
• Preferred: experience with Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.

• Perform mechanical installations and provide onsite technical support while assisting with other mechanical work at customer sites.
• Lead mechanical assembly, installation, and commissioning activities in the field.
• Support mechanical and electrical subcontractors during equipment installation at customer facilities.
• Lead training, troubleshooting, and repair or adjustment of mechanical and electrical control systems.
• Work with the Test Engineering Group and carry out factory acceptance tests for finished equipment.
• Assemble individual equipment components that incorporate our belting at the Hanover facility.
• Provide design and assembly support for industrial conveyor equipment as needed.
