Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Tele PCU – Full Time Days Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time Days (7A-7P) for 36 hrs./week. Weekend and holiday requirements Cardiac Tele PCU Department Highlights Cardiac Tele PCU is a 24 bed post interventional unit mixed with medical telemetry providing comprehensive post interventional cardiac care to patients from admission to discharge. We specialize in the care of cardiovascular patients which includes Heart Failure, AMI and Arrhythmia patients, pre and post interventional patients (Cath, Ablations, & Pacemakers). Self-scheduling which helps with the work/life balance as well. AMI program has achieved the trifecta of awards for the 2nd year in a row from the American Heart Association and National Cardiovascular Data. What You Need (Qualifications) Diploma Nurse required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required. BSN preferred One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. PCU, Step-down Intermediate, Cardiac Tele highly preferred. RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support expiration prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire What You Will Do (Responsibilities) Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
