Job Description
Practice Assistant - Clinical Support

Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Morning shift options are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends or major holidays.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 40
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least one of the following qualifications: successful completion of a medical assistant program (CCMA, RMA, or CMA), a minimum of 3 years of previous work experience, or experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills to perform quantitative measurements (e.g., obtaining height and weight).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Organizational skills to set priorities and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to access, enter, and interpret data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support under the direction of a licensed Nurse or Provider.
• Participate in the delivery of patient care according to clinical guidelines.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate wait time updates to patients.
• Conduct pre-visit chart reviews and prepare for upcoming visits.
• Collect and document vital signs, medical history, and other essential information.
• Assist with patient intake and education regarding their visit.
• Document findings accurately and utilize basic medical terminology.
• Assist in various clinical procedures and patient care tasks as required.
