Job Title: Associate Technical Designer Report to: Technical Design or Senior Technical Designer Primary Purpose: The Associate Technical Designer is responsible for assisting the design team in all aspects of the design process and providing support as needed. They will be responsible for working with Design, Product Development, & Merchandising teams to meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development – concept through production. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Handbag Design Department to: Work with the Design, Product Development, and Merchandising teams to understand deliverables and meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development – concept through production. These deadlines may fluctuate depending on timing, and include, but are not limited to, the following: Proto rounds – work collaboratively with the designer to ensure that all specs created reflect the intentions of that designer. Ensure accuracy of all information captured in specs by self‑checking sketches & dimensions. Final Bulk Pass Off – Assist the Technical Designer & Senior Technical Designer in executing final product spec updates and corrections for that season, ensuring that any and all changes to the product after market are approved by the design team. Assist in ensuring that product specs are consistent across all factories and all seasons. Assist in reviewing and correcting post‑market samples. Assist in the creation & maintenance of digital design detail & standards libraries. Assist in research of product functionality trends across market. Assist in CAD & artwork creation in Illustrator & Photoshop, as needed. The accomplished individual will possess… Strong communication and email skills. Detailed note‑taking & organizational skills. College degree in fashion design or a related field. Illustrator and Photoshop experience required. Substance 3D experience a plus. Raspberry AI, Adobe Firefly AI, or other product design AI experience a plus. Microsoft Excel experience a plus.
