ASDOH - Ortho Dental Assistant

Overview A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Dental Assistant for Orthodontics in Mesa, Arizona. The role provides chairside assistance to residents, performing four‑handed assisting duties and solo patient care. Job Type Full-time, non-exempt. Duties & Responsibilities Input charting and notes in Dolphin, and acquire CBCT x‑rays. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Orthodontic unit and clinic. Independently complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks for the lab and clinic. Attend monthly on‑site and assigned off‑site meetings. Scan patient documents, stock supplies, clean units, and maintain clinic areas. Place maintenance request emails for broken items. Provide feedback on supply usage. Attend continuing education courses. Clean the kitchen area. Assist with clerical work as needed (Dolphin status clean up, scanning, etc.). Requirements DA and X‑ray certificates required. Four‑handed dental assisting skills. Ability to take clear diagnostic images and photographs. Knowledge of sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards. Proficiency with Dolphin software. Dental back‑office experience. Digital x‑ray, infection control, and demonstrated computer system knowledge.
