Audiologist at Piedmont Ear Nose & Throat Associates We are seeking an experienced Audiologist for our Winston Salem office. The role involves administering diagnostic tests, fitting hearing aids, and providing patient counseling. Job Description The Audiologist is responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate hearing disorders. The Audiologist provides hearing aid testing, selection, and fitting to all populations. The candidate will also perform comprehensive diagnostic testing including ABR, ENG, VNG and other tests as needed. The Audiologist counsels patients regarding test results and reviews options that best meet their hearing care needs. Pricing and sale of hearing aids are part of the patient education process. Primary Job Functions Administers Diagnostic Tests Performs Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE), Tympanometry, Audiological Evaluations, ETD testing and acoustic reflex threshold Provides amplification services including hearing aid assessment testing, real ear measurements and live speech mapping Coordinates and interprets test results Consults with and makes recommendations on hearing disorders to physicians Diagnoses audio vestibular disorders based on test results Coordinates care with physicians and other providers Completes chart notes for each patient and sends written report to referring physician and primary care physician Manages Hearing Rehabilitation Counsels patients regarding test results Makes recommendations regarding hearing care options Reviews products available to improve hearing impairment Sells appropriate hearing care products and warranties as needed Provides hearing aid dispensing including selection, fitting, ear‑mold acoustics, ongoing management with follow‑up and education Demonstrates and sells Assisted Living Devices (ALD’s), batteries and other special products Performs hearing aid repairs; checks and cleaning; miscellaneous duties Qualifications & Skills Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology, current state and national certification. Must hold Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A) or be eligible. Holds hearing instrument dispensing license if required by the state Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, sales and problem‑solving with a diverse customer, colleague and vendor population. Experience with EMR systems (plus) Proficient with computer and audiology diagnostic and hearing aid equipment and software Organizes time, prioritizes duties within strict deadlines and manages interruptions. Demonstrates caring and respectful customer service and attention to detail.
