Prairie Meadows Slot Technician Shift: 9pm-5am Days Off: Sunday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday $21/hour Get paid when you need it – daily, weekly or biweekly! ($22.00-$24.00/hour including tips) tips are not guaranteed If you're fascinated by the bells and whistles of the gaming industry and tinkering with machines makes you tick, you might want to put your skills to work at the no. 1 entertainment destination in Iowa. As a Prairie Meadows Slot Technician, you'll be keeping the heart of the casino beating. Interested? Read on. Here's what you'll be responsible for: Installation, maintenance, and conversion of casino games Troubleshooting and repair of games and associated systems Preventative maintenance of slot machines, signage, and other related equipment Assistance with jackpot verifications Current knowledge of gaming and gaming systems through the Technician's logs, discussions, and manuals Familiarity and adherence to all departmental and Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission procedures Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in the gaming industry preferred. Strong math and communication skills are required. A positive and courteous attitude, strong business etiquette, and ability to remain calm when faced with stressful situations is required. Must be able to handle a fast-paced, demanding environment with a secondary smoke element, and elevated noise level. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. occasionally is required.
