Through disciplined and accretive investments, we have successfully tripled the size of our company since going public in December 2021 while maintaining a strong balance sheet.Crescent Energy is seeking an experienced Senior IT Program Manager to lead and deliver critical technology programs that support our upstream oil & gas operations. This role is responsible for managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives that span IT, business units, and external partners. The ideal candidate brings deep oil & gas experience, strong financial and program management discipline, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.This role partners closely with Crescent Energy leadership to ensure technology initiatives align with business strategy, operational needs, and financial objectives while maintaining flexibility to adapt as priorities evolve.Key ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise-level IT programs supporting Crescent Energy’s oil & gas business, including upstream operations, corporate systems, and SaaS-based platformsManage full program lifecycle activities, including planning, execution, risk management, dependency management, and delivery using standard project and program management principlesOwn financial oversight for programs and projects, including budget development, forecasting, cost tracking, and executive-level financial reportingPartner with leaders across all Crescent Energy business units to understand priorities, align technology initiatives, and drive successful outcomesServe as a primary point of coordination between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendorsManage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and SaaS providers to ensure delivery commitments, timelines, and contractual expectations are metProvide clear, concise communication to leadership regarding program status, risks, financials, and recommendationsQuickly pivot and re-prioritize in response to changing business needs, market conditions, or leadership directionTake a hands-on, team-first approach—willing to jump in at any level and assist where needed to help Crescent Energy achieve common goalsFoster a positive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset that supports collaboration and continuous improvementRequired Qualifications15+ years of experience in IT program and/or project managementExtensive experience working within the oil & gas industry (required)Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional IT programs with financial accountabilityStrong understanding of standard project and program management methodologies (PMI, Agile, hybrid approaches)Experience managing external vendors and SaaS-based technology solutionsAbility to work effectively with executives, senior leadership, and teams across all levels of the organizationExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused outcomesDemonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with oil & gas–specific software and upstream technology platformsExperience supporting lean or growth-oriented oil & gas organizationsProject or program management certifications (PMP, PgMP, SAFe, etc.)Work Environment & TravelIn-office work environment with a possible opportunity for remote work as neededUp to 10% travel may be requiredCrescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
