The Newmarket, New Hampshire Police Department is actively seeking Public Safety Dispatcher candidates interested in a challenging career to fill current or anticipated vacancies. The Communications Division provides 24-hour emergency dispatch communications for Newmarket Police, Fire and EMS, and the Newfields Police, Fire and EMS. Duties Include, but not limited to: Receive emergency calls from the public and E-911. Dispatch appropriate fire, ambulance or police using computer-aided dispatch Maintains continuous two-way radio and/or telephone communication between Dispatch Center and officers/department personnel Performs criminal record, license, motor vehicle registration record through SPOTS and NCIC checks; enters stolen property, missing and wanted persons into NCIC other duties as assigned Monitor fire/burglar alarms and security cameras $30.00 - $39.00 commensurate with experience NEPBA Local 215 Membership 13 Paid Holidays Earned Vacation (amount commensurate with experience) Earned Sick Time (for self and family members) Permanent NIGHT SHIFT High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver’s license Must be 18 years of age Candidates must successfully complete a formal interview, extensive background investigation and polygraph examination.
