We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise or a strong interest in pediatric otology, cochlear implantation, and the comprehensive care of children with hearing loss.This is an outstanding opportunity to build a career within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that provides state-of-the-art care to children with congenital and acquired hearing disorders while participating in education, research, and program development.A Thriving Pediatric Hearing Implant ProgramOur pediatric hearing implant program provides world class care and continues to experience significant growth. Highlights include:A large hearing loss population of over 450 pediatric patients managed via a dashboard with nursing care coordination.More than 20 pediatric cochlear implant procedures performed annually, with continued program growth.A robust multidisciplinary team including pediatric audiologists, speech-language pathologists, auditory verbal therapists, genetic counselors, developmental specialists, and dedicated nursing support.Longitudinal care spanning newborn hearing screening through adolescence, including cochlear implantation, bone conduction hearing devices, and management of complex pediatric otologic disorders.Opportunities to participate in program innovation, outcomes research, quality improvement initiatives, and expansion of regional access to hearing healthcare.Candidates with an interest in complex pediatric ear surgery, hearing preservation, congenital ear disorders, auditory implants, or leadership within a growing hearing implant program are especially encouraged to apply.About the PracticeThe Cleveland Clinic Head & Neck Institute includes:50 staff surgeons25 advanced practice providersA full spectrum of audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and comprehensive nursing supportMore than 120,000 outpatient visits annuallyMore than 7,000 surgical cases annuallyPediatric Otolaryngology care is provided at Cleveland Clinic Children's main campus in the heart of Cleveland and at family health centers throughout northern Ohio. While all subspecialty interests are welcome, we are especially interested in candidates who wish to develop an active pediatric otology and hearing implant practice.Additional opportunities include:Expanding a busy pediatric hearing implant program with an established referral base.Collaboration with adult otologists, pediatric audiologists, and multidisciplinary hearing healthcare teams.Participation in multidisciplinary hearing loss management.Teaching residents, fellows, and medical students within an outstanding academic environment.Clinical and translational research with strong institutional support.Leadership opportunities within pediatric otology and hearing implant services as the program continues to grow.Our general and complex otolaryngology colleagues care for children throughout the region while referring advanced otologic and hearing implant cases to pediatric subspecialists.
